Ayers, the Possibilities Promoter, is ardent in her quest to guide others toward destiny fulfillment and personal success, challenging them to find hope to move forward no matter the circumstances they face. She is passionate about encouraging those she meets by divine appointment to reach their God-given potential. She aims to use her life to allow people to see possibilities for their own journeys. After earning an undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Michigan, Ayers completed a master's degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Michigan University. She also pursued doctoral studies in adult education at Florida Atlantic University and ultimately earned a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston. She has served as Dean of Students and Vice Provost and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs for universities in Washington D.C. and Michigan. Dr. Ayers was ordained in ministry in August 2007 through Antioch Restoration Ministries International (ARMI). Her life coaching training is through the Institute for Life Coach Training (ILCT), an ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited program. She has completed post-graduate preparation through the American Council on Education (National Leadership Forum) and Harvard University (College of Education/MLE program). She is Executive Director of Esperanza Communications by which she inspires hope through various communications-related endeavors. In 2001, Dr. Ayers was named by Ebony magazine as one of the Top 30 Leaders of the Future 30 and under. A published author, Dr. Ayers is co-author of "Hitching a Ride to Success: A Roadmap for Collegiate Travelers" (1996, Simon and Schuster) and "To Whom Much is Given: The Definitive Guide to the Doctoral Process for Women" (2006, Esperanza Communications). Dr. Ayers - affectionately known via airwaves as "Dr. Kenya" - is the creator, writer and host of Prescriptions for Hope with Dr. Kenya where she supported listeners through relationship challenges with biblical advice. Dr. Ayers continues to inspire hope through a monthly Prescriptions for Hope column in the THRIVE Detroit newspaper.
